What is the cheapest website hosting that is still reliable?
A typical question about web hosting:
I’d prefer something to where I can host multiple websites if possible. Thanks in advance.
Expert Answer: This is quite a popular question. Web hosting is one of the most important part of your online presence and can mean the life or death to your business. Experienced web developers know that reliability and price is more important than the location of the web hosting service.
To answer your query, here are 7 qualities to look for in a reliable but affordable web hosting. An excellent hosting:
- lets you try their service for free or at very low price,
- gives more-than-enough diskspace for no extra cost,
- offers unlimited bandwidth for no extra cost,
- gives multiple add-on domains for no extra cost,
- has reliable and friendly Site Builder,
- has Fantastico and QuickInstall to quickly install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, OSCommerce, ZenCart and more
- can be easily upgraded to VPS or one of the best dedicated server plans if and when your business require.
Answering the above common question, many experienced web developers suggest to try Hostgator. If you are building your first website and needs a hosting plan, experts usually highly recommend going with Hostgator because they are the best best domain hosting
around.
“I saw somebody said that Hostgator sucks?”. No web host is 100% perfect (see the shortcomings of HG in the section below). Hostgator is a Scam?
To be honest, no web hosting service is perfect. Drawback of Hostgator includes:
- No free domain name – but you can easily get a domain name from the best domain registrar such as Godaddy or Namecheap for $10 or less. Would you agree that a website is not complete without a domain name?
- You need to pay full price after your first invoice – well, they need to make money too and all the support and great service do come with a cost. That does not make them a scam.
If you are still not sure if HG is right for you, or you have specific query about anything at all, try the Live Chat at HG. They are fast and knowledgeable. Just shoot them some questions before you decide.

This special coupon code is much better that the official 20% sale at Hostgator.

I use hostgator for all of my websites, they are brilliant. Have unlimited bandwidth and storage, unlimited domain names on your account for free and at the moment there is 20% off their package, $3.95 per month I think it is at the moment. It is by far the best webhost in my opinion having won many awards. Take a look at the link below for more info on hostgator on their website.
